功能说明
Applies to
Viozi 1.0, Jellyfin, Emby and Plex media servers.
Before you start
- Jellyfin / Emby: the server address (usually port 8096, or 8920 for https) and an account.
- Plex: a Plex account.
Where to find it
Settings → Media Sources → + (Add Source) → the Media Server group.
Steps: Jellyfin / Emby
- Choose Jellyfin or Emby.
- Enter the Server Address, Username and Password, and connect.
- After you sign in, the server's movie and TV libraries sync directly; there are no folders to choose.
Steps: Plex
- Choose Plex and tap Sign In with Plex.
- Sign in to Plex on the page that opens and allow Viozi access.
- Pick a server from the list, either My server or one shared by a friend. No address or token needs to be typed.
- On Apple TV a QR code and a code are shown: scan the QR code with your phone, or open plex.tv/link in any browser and enter the code.
Options
- Quality: Settings → Playback → Playback Settings → Quality. Jellyfin, Emby and Plex can transcode to a lower quality on the server. On Auto, cellular goes up to about 1080p at 8 Mbps, and about 720p in Low Data Mode.
- Refresh Automatically: turn it on in the source details. Viozi checks the server library when the app opens, returns to the foreground or is refreshed manually, and only syncs when something changed. It does not start a server scan.
- Request Full Server Scan on Launch: needs an administrator account; when unsupported or not permitted, it falls back to only checking status.
- Videos Deleted on the Server: Remove After Confirming waits for later full scans before removing, so a temporarily unmounted server drive doesn't remove your videos by mistake; Remove Immediately removes them after one scan.
Limits
- Bandwidth is limited when connecting through the Plex relay, so high-bitrate videos may not play smoothly.
- Watch progress syncs mainly between your Apple devices through iCloud. Progress sync with the media server is not guaranteed in the current version.
If something goes wrong
See A source won't connect, sign-in fails or no videos are found.
