| Play Next Episode Automatically | When an episode ends, the next one in the season starts |
| Skip Intros & Credits | Uses chapters in the video, markers from your media server, or the intro and credits you mark in the player's settings |
| Default Playback Speed | The speed used when playback starts |
With iCloud Sync on, the default speed, resume, autoplay and subtitle size sync to your other devices along with your settings.
Quality
Quality can be set separately On Wi-Fi and On Cellular. Jellyfin, Emby and Plex videos are transcoded by the server at this quality; at Original the file is read directly. On Auto, Wi-Fi picks a level by network speed, cellular goes up to 1080p 8 Mbps and Low Data Mode up to 720p; playback drops a level when it stutters and goes back up when the network recovers. Other sources only have the original file; on cellular you'll see roughly how much data it uses.
While playing
- Tap the picture to show or hide the controls; double-tap the left or right side to go back or forward 10 seconds; swipe left or right to seek.
- Speed: change the playback speed, for example 2× Speed.
- Chapters: jump between chapters in videos that have them.
- Skip Intro: the button appears when an intro is detected.
- Audio Sync: adjust when the sound comes before or after the picture. With the Viozi Engine you can shift it both ways (positive values delay the sound, negative values bring it earlier, and it resets when the episode changes); the system player can only delay audio.
- Lock Controls: locks the screen to prevent accidental touches.
Resume and next episode
- After you stop, the video appears in Continue Watching on Home, for example "Resume Episode N".
- Watch progress syncs across devices using the same iCloud account (with iCloud Sync on).
