Overview
Podcasts
Add shows in Podcasts in the library:
- Use Search podcasts, then tap Follow.
- Add by RSS Address: paste the show's RSS address.
- Import OPML: import many subscriptions at once from an OPML file exported by another podcast app.
For a show, you can turn on Download New Episodes: New episodes found when this show refreshes are downloaded to this device. It can be set to Auto-Download on Wi-Fi Only. Episodes can be marked with Mark as Played, and episodes with chapters can be navigated in Chapters.
Episodes without a transcript can have one generated; see Smart features: built-in AI, your own AI service, data permissions and available features.
Audiobooks
Audiobooks come from your music sources:
- Connect an audiobook server such as Audiobookshelf.
- When adding or editing a media server source, set a library to Audiobooks (or to Music or Don't Sync).
- Regular audio can also be classified by hand with Mark as Audiobook in the song menu.
Listening settings are in Settings › Playback:
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Audiobook Speed | Playback speed set separately from music |
| Skip Back / Skip Forward | Seconds to skip back and forward |
| Smart Rewind | When you resume an audiobook or podcast, it goes back a little depending on how long you were away, so you can pick up the thread: a few seconds after a short pause, more after a night away, never more than the limit. |
Audiobooks and podcasts remember your position and continue from where you stopped.
Internet radio
Add internet radio stations by stream URL, or import a playlist of many at once. They appear here and in Radio.
- Add Station: enter the Station Name and Stream URL.
- With many stations, organize them with folders and tags, and pin the ones you listen to most.
On Home and in the library
- Settings › Home: show the Podcasts and Audiobooks sections, and Show Radio on Home.
- Library Display: choose whether Radio and Podcasts appear in the library.
- Theme Color › Radio, Audiobook & Podcast Colors: give them different colors.
