Applies to
Viozi 1.0 on iPhone, iPad and Mac, when Diagnostic Reports → Send to the author → Upload to the Author fails. The full flow is in Collect and upload a diagnostic report.
First
- A failed upload does not delete the reports or logs on your device, so you can fix the cause and retry.
- Note the exact message and follow the matching branch below.
The package is larger than the 8 MB limit. Leave out the log and try again.
- Go back to the upload sheet and turn off Logs under Attachments (optional).
- If it is still too large, also turn off Diagnostic Reports and keep only your text.
- Tap Upload to the Author again.
This device has used all of today's uploads. You can upload again after …
- Each device can upload a limited number of times per day (currently 5 by default). The message shows when you can upload again.
- If it is urgent, tap Send by Email Instead. In the App Store version the email carries reports only, not logs.
Couldn't connect, so nothing was uploaded. Check your connection and try again.
- Check that the device can open web pages.
- Temporarily turn off any VPN, proxy or ad blocker and retry.
- Switch between Wi-Fi and cellular and retry.
Uploading isn't available right now. Nothing was sent.
- The service is temporarily unavailable, or uploading is not enabled in this build. This is not a problem with your device. Try later, or use Send by Email Instead.
The upload didn't finish (…). Please try again later.
- The text in parentheses is the specific reason. Wait a few minutes and retry. If it keeps failing, include that reason and the approximate time in your feedback.
Expected result
After a successful upload you see "Uploaded to the author" and a code. Tap Copy Code and include it in your feedback.
Still not working
- Email: tap Send by Email Instead. If you see "Can't send mail", there is no mail account on the device; share the report another way or, in TestFlight builds, use Export Log.
- When posting on the palveni.com message board, include the device model, system version, Viozi version, the exact error and the time.
