First, find your message
| Message on screen | What it means | What to do |

| The package is larger than the 8 MB limit. Leave out the log or some images and try again. | The package is over the 8 MB limit. The app already shrinks screenshots and shortens the log before giving this error | Untick “Logs” or remove some images and try again, or use “Share Instead” |
| This device has used all of today’s uploads. You can upload again after …. | Each device can upload 5 times a day, and unfinished attempts count | Try again after the time shown, or send by email or share if it is urgent |
| Couldn’t connect, so nothing was uploaded. Check your connection and try again. | The device isn't online, or the connection dropped | Switch networks (for example from cellular to Wi‑Fi), turn off any VPN or proxy that might block the connection, then retry |
| Uploading isn’t available right now. Nothing was sent. | The author's upload service isn't accepting uploads right now | Try later, or send by email or share instead |
| The upload didn’t finish (…). Please try again later. | It didn't finish for another reason; the code in parentheses identifies it | Retry later and include that code in your report |
Step by step
- Check the network: open any web page in a browser. The app checks the upload service when the send screen opens; if that check fails, “Upload to the Author” is not shown.
- Make the package smaller: logs and screenshots take up most of the space. Leave out “Logs” or a few screenshots and retry.
- Don't leave midway: tapping Cancel during an upload only stops the upload and keeps your message; tap “Upload to the Author” again to retry.
- Count your attempts: if you have already tried several times today you may hit the limit; try again the next day.
- Use another way: tap “Send by Email Instead” to send with the system Mail app, which attaches the reports or logs you selected. If Mail isn't set up, “Share Instead” appears instead; you can save the file to Files or AirDrop it to yourself and pass it on to the author.
How to tell it worked
The screen shows “Uploaded to the author” and a code. Copy it with “Copy Code” and mention it in your report. If you don't see a code, nothing was uploaded and everything is still on your device.
Limits
- Each upload is at most 8 MB; a package exported with share has no such limit, but you need to pass it on yourself.
- Uploads are kept on the author's server for 30 days.
- On Apple TV only the log and your message can be uploaded.

問題原因
When an upload fails the screen shows a specific message. Common causes: the package is over 8 MB; this device has used today's 5 uploads (unfinished attempts count too); no network connection; the upload service is temporarily unavailable; the upload was cancelled or interrupted.
