Viozi 1.0. This article gives a troubleshooting order; the actual cause needs logs, and a single symptom doesn't prove the root cause.
"Cannot connect to source" or "Can't reach … on this network"
- The source isn't reachable on the current network. Files not downloaded to the device can't play for now.
- Run Source Diagnostics as described in A source won't connect, sign-in fails or no videos are found. If only a LAN address is set, add a public address for use away from home.
- "This media source is disabled": enable it in Media Sources.
"Cannot play this video"
- Try another video from the same source to tell whether it is one file or the whole source.
- Temporarily turn off Viozi Engine in Playback Settings and retry. If it plays, please report it and say what kind of file it is.
- Turn off Picture Enhancement, Super Resolution and Frame Interpolation and retry.
- For media server videos, lower Quality so the server transcodes.
Stuttering or endless buffering
- High-bitrate videos need a fast network. Stutter is more likely through the Plex relay, a public address or cellular.
- Media servers can use Automatic quality, which drops a level when playback stutters.
- You can cache the video to the device first (cache in the source menu). Caching pauses when the network drops and resumes when it returns.
Black or frozen picture after seeking
- Pause and play again, or stop and reopen it from Continue Watching.
- If a particular file (especially Dolby Vision) repeatedly goes black after seeking, note the file type, how many times you sought and the time, and upload logs as described in Collect and upload a diagnostic report. We'll confirm the cause from the logs; there is no conclusion yet.
Wrong HDR / Dolby Vision colors
- On screens without HDR, colors are tone mapped, so differences from an HDR screen are normal.
- For obvious problems such as a purple or green tint, report the device model, display and the video format (shown in the playback info).
- See Playback engine, formats, and HDR / Dolby Vision / Atmos.
No sound or audio out of sync
- Switch Audio tracks and adjust Audio Sync.
- With external speakers, confirm the receiving device supports the audio format. See Audio tracks, Dialogue Boost, Night Mode and multichannel.
What to include in feedback
Device model and system version, Viozi version, source type, file format (such as MKV, HDR10, Dolby Vision), when it happened (with time zone) and steps to reproduce. Don't include accounts, passwords, server addresses or video file names.
