All source types in Viozi 1.0.
Step 1: run Source Diagnostics
- Go to Settings → Media Sources.
- Open the menu on the problem source (or swipe left) and tap Source Diagnostics (shown as Check).
- It checks in order: Configuration, Address resolution, Address reachability, Connection, Credentials / Service sign-in, Directory Access or Library access, and Scan Readiness.
- The result is Ready to scan, Ready with warnings or Needs attention, with "N passed · N warnings · N failed · N skipped". When a step fails, the following steps show "Not run because a prerequisite check failed."
Follow the advice
| Message | Meaning | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Network unreachable | Not reachable on the current network | Make sure the device and source are on the same LAN or VPN, and check the host and port |
| Connection timeout | No response in time | Check Wi-Fi / VPN, whether the server is asleep, port forwarding and NAS wake state |
| The TCP handshake succeeded but the service never answered | A VPN or proxy may have taken over the address, or it is not this device | Away from home use a public address or relay; route LAN ranges directly or turn off VPN / proxy temporarily |
| Authentication problem | The server rejected the current credential | Re-enter the password, API key or token; if 2FA is on, reconnect first |
| Certificate problem | The HTTPS certificate can't be trusted | Trust it only after confirming it is your own server's certificate |
| Cloud authorization expired | The token is missing or expired | Reconnect this cloud drive and authorize again |
| Path problem | The selected path can't be opened | Choose the folder again, or confirm the account can read it |
| No scan directory selected | No folder chosen | Tap Connect & Select Directories or Manage Directories |
| Provider rate limit | The provider is temporarily limiting requests | Wait a few minutes and retry; avoid repeated scans or playback in a short period |
| Source response error | The server returned an error | Check the server status and retry |
Hints on the connection-failed page
- "This is a local network address — it only works while you are on the same network." → Add a public address for use away from home.
- "With a domain name the port is usually 443 or 80" → The service's own port is often only open on the LAN.
- "This address goes over the Internet without encryption, which many servers refuse." → Use https.
- "This goes through the vendor's relay" → Check that the device is online and remote access is on.
- Tap Change Address to fix it directly.
Scanning
- Status "Scan interrupted, can resume": tap Resume Scan to continue from where it stopped.
- "Read directory successfully, but found N visible items": it may be an empty folder, a filtered view or a permission-limited account.
- To check a source completely again, tap Deep Scan in its menu.

Upload logs from Diagnostic Reports with a written description of the check results; see Collect and upload a diagnostic report. Don't include passwords or server addresses in your feedback.
